Drafting Bills
We draft different types of Bills depending upon the circumstances of the case. We have considerable experience with the new Electronic bill as per Precedent S introduced in April 2018. We are able to prepare bills on Solicitor/Client basis and for Court of Protection.
All aspects of negotiation throughout the cost recovery process
We will maintain our offers on cases and will not allow the negotiation process to drag on unnecessarily. We will proceed, if required to draft Points of Dispute/Reply to progress the case.
Preparation of Statement of Costs for Summary Assessment
We produce statement of costs very quickly as we know there are deadlines to be met when these are required for court.
Preparation of Part 8 Proceedings
Where costs are not agreed on a non-issued case then we can draft Part 8 proceedings to be issued at the court.
Regular updates on all your files
We will provide regular updates on files if required, however, as we negotiate, we will update you as a matter of course.
Preparation of Points of Dispute/Replies
As you will be aware the majority of assessments are now conducted without attendance of an Advocate. Therefore, it is vital that submissions to the court are robust and technically correct. At Alpha we identify the key issues in the assessment and the strength of our submissions result in most cases being settled at this point with a favourable outcome.
Attendance at Detailed Assessment
We will attend Detail Assessment as and when required. Our advocates are very experienced with an excellent record of results.
Preparation of Schedule of Costs
We are mindful of the importance of cashflow and with smaller cases we can produce a schedule of costs as usually this will result in a fast turnaround with costs agreed quickly.
